The first book written specifically for deep tech founders launches 24 March at Norrsken House Stockholm
The book A Game of Deep Tech by Ola Wassvik, co-founder of Lightbringer, distils 20 years of building, breaking, and rebuilding companies at the edge of what’s possible.
Most startup books are written for software founders. Until now, deep tech founders have had no playbook of their own. A Game of Deep Tech: A Player’s Guide for Founders Making the Impossible Possible is the first book written specifically for the people turning breakthrough science into viable businesses. It launches on 24 March at Norrsken House Stockholm.
Author Ola Wassvik spent over 20 years as a deep tech CTO, co-founding FlatFrog, managing 300+ patent families, and helping raise close to $100M in venture capital. The book introduces his Team-TAM-Tech framework and covers the full journey: co-founders, fundraising, prototyping, manufacturing, selling, and knowing when to pivot. Written in short, direct chapters, it is as much a collection of war stories as a strategic guide.
Today, Wassvik is co-founder and CCO of Lightbringer, an AI-first patent strategy and filing service for deep tech companies. While A Game of Deep Tech is Ola’s personal project, Lightbringer is proud to support the launch. The book captures the same founder-first thinking that drives the company: deep tech builders deserve better tools, better advice, and better odds.
