What is a CE marking patent, or how does CE marking relate to patents?
CE marking is a regulatory conformity requirement for selling medical devices in the European market, separate from and unrelated to patent protection, which is a distinct legal right obtained through the EPO or national patent offices. A device typically needs both patent protection and CE marking to be both protected and legally saleable in Europe.
